In lifting and hoisting operations as well as object suspension, the screw eye bolt, with its unique closed-loop design and threaded structure, has become a key component connecting heavy objects and lifting equipment. This hardware product, which integrates a bolt shank with an annular lifting lug, can be firmly screwed into the base through threads and connect ropes or hooks via the lifting lug, undertaking the important mission of transmitting loads in industrial transportation, construction and other scenarios. As a factory specializing in the production of screw eye bolts, we always focus on safe load-bearing, endowing this small component with reliable mechanical properties through precision manufacturing.
Material selection directly determines the load-bearing limit of the screw eye bolt. We have established a graded material system according to different load requirements: heavy-duty screw eye bolts with a rated load of more than 5 tons are made of 42CrMo alloy structural steel, which has a tensile strength of 1080MPa after quenching and tempering, and a yield strength of not less than 930MPa, ensuring no plastic deformation under extreme loads; medium-load screw eye bolts use 35CrMo steel, and by controlling the quenching temperature at 860℃±10℃, the hardness is uniformly maintained at HRC28-32, taking into account both strength and toughness; light-duty screw eye bolts are made of Q355B low-alloy high-strength steel, which is subjected to stress relief annealing after cold heading forming to avoid thread cracking. All raw materials must undergo ultrasonic flaw detection to eliminate internal inclusions and looseness defects.
Precise control of the production process is the key to performance guarantee. Thread processing adopts rolling forming technology, which improves thread strength by 30% compared with traditional cutting processing. The thread form accuracy is controlled at grade 6H to ensure perfect engagement with nuts; the lifting lug bending uses a CNC hydraulic press for step-by-step forming, with each bending angle error not exceeding ±0.5° to avoid local stress concentration; the welding of the lifting lug and the screw rod adopts friction welding technology, with the welding surface strength reaching more than 90% of the base metal. After welding, heat preservation is carried out for 24 hours to eliminate welding stress, and then magnetic particle inspection is used to detect surface cracks. For products that need anti-corrosion, Dacromet coating treatment is adopted, with the film thickness controlled at 6-8μm, and no red rust occurs in the salt spray test for 480 hours, adapting to humid or corrosive environments.
The quality inspection system builds an all-dimensional safety barrier. 5% of each batch of products is sampled for destructive testing, and the fracture load value is recorded to ensure that the actual bearing capacity is not less than 1.2 times the rated value; thread accuracy inspection uses thread gauges, and the qualification rate must reach 100%; the perpendicularity of the lifting lug hole is detected by a coordinate measuring machine, and the deviation must not exceed 0.1mm/m; for lifting eye bolts, a static load test of 1.5 times the rated load is also required. After 10 minutes, the permanent deformation is measured, which must not exceed 0.2%. Each product is laser marked with a unique number, which is bound and archived with the test data to realize the whole life cycle traceability.
The screw eye bolts produced by us have been widely used in various fields: in wind power equipment installation, M36 specification eye bolts accurately hoist several tons of blades in place; during container transportation, pre-embedded eye bolts cooperate with binding belts to fix goods and resist sea transportation ;at the stage construction site, eye bolts suspend lighting and sound equipment to ensure the safety of performances; even in home decoration, small eye bolts can reliably fix ceiling chandeliers. In these scenarios, the eye bolt transmits the load in a silent manner, becoming an invisible link connecting safety and efficiency.
As a producer of eye bolts, we are well aware that the failure of this component may lead to catastrophic consequences. In the 12 processes from round steel cutting to finished product delivery, we integrate the concept of "safety redundancy" into every detail with micron-level size control and ultimate load testing. In the future, we will develop intelligent eye bolts with angle indicators, which can monitor the load status in real time through built-in sensors, allowing this traditional hardware to glow with new vitality in the era of intelligent manufacturing and continue to guard the safety line of hoisting operations.
